I have a bad internet connection, how can I improve the connection?

Sometimes, internet connections can be disrupted for a variety of reasons. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot your connection in your home.

If you and your housemates are experiencing trouble with your internet connection, try the steps below to improve the connection:
  1. Ensure the modem and router are connected and powered on. 
  2. Power cycle the modem and router by unplugging and re-plugging them both back into the wall outlet. 
  3. If possible, connect a device directly to the modem with an Ethernet (wired) cable to see if it is a wi-fi issue.
