Troubleshooting My Front Door Electronic Keypad
Some Alcove homes use front door keypad codes, while others use lockboxes, physical keys, or landlord-provided access methods.
If your Alcove Portal shows a front door keypad code, use the steps below. Some homes or access points may use a lockbox, physical key, or other landlord-provided access method instead. Always follow the access instructions shown in your portal for your specific home.
For Alcove front door electronic keypads, enter your 4-digit code on the keypad and then press the logo button. Please allow a few seconds for the system to process the unlock request. If the lock is still unresponsive after several attempts, check that fresh batteries are installed.
If you continue to have trouble accessing your front door, submit a support ticket through your Alcove Portal, email support@alcoverooms.com, or call or text 919-925-5755.

Lock Out information
1. Urgent/Emergency Access Needs
If immediate access is needed, call a trusted locksmith company to gain access to your home or room. The tenant will be responsible for the payment of this service. A few of Alcove's recommended locksmiths are listed here.
2. Non-Urgent Access Needs
Submit a support ticket through your Alcove Support Portal. We will get to the request within 48 hours and schedule a field technician to inspect the lock and rekey if required. All lockouts that require a field technician visit will result in a $50.00 charge to the tenant's billing portal.
All keys and fobs, including bedroom, garage, mail, clubhouse or pool fobs, parking passes, and similar access devices, must be returned upon move-out. Any keys or fobs not returned upon move-out may result in a $50 deduction from the tenant's security deposit.
