Can I switch rooms or relocate during my lease?
Tenants can submit a request to their landlord in the Resolution Center to switch to another room in their home or relocate to another home in the Alcove community.
Tenants have the option to switch rooms within your Alcove home or relocate to another Alcove home, but this is subject to the approval of your landlord. You can apply for a room switch to any available Alcove room while your lease is still active. The process for requesting a room switch or relocation is outlined below:

This includes, but is not limited to, carpet cleaning, wall maintenance and painting required beyond normal wear and tear, as well as any turnover cleaning services (typically $45 - $80) required for the previous room.

If your room switch or relocation is approved by your landlord, you will then need to apply to your desired bedroom. Once your new lease is signed, Alcove will send a termination document for your old lease. An email will be sent with an outline of your ledger accounting for your prorated rent in your old and new bedroom and your room switch (early termination) fee, if applicable.
