Roommate Living Room Cleanliness Policy

This policy outlines the guidelines for the living room cleanliness in Alcove Homes.

Acceptable Category

Clean
All personal items are properly stored or organized; no clutter or unnecessary objects are visible. Furniture surfaces, such as tables and shelves, are free from personal or discarded items, including food. Floors are vacuumed or swept, and any spills or stains are promptly cleaned. No trash or recyclables are left out in the open; all waste is disposed of appropriately. Decorative items and electronics are placed properly and out of walkways. 
Acceptable
A minor amount of personal items are present in the living room but are neatly organized. A small amount of clutter or unnecessary objects are visible. Furniture and surfaces are generally clear and accessible. Minimal cleaning required for surfaces, with only occasional touch-ups needed. Floors may need light vacuuming or sweeping, with no major stains or spills. Minimal trash or discarded items throughout and walk ways are generally clear.

Living Room Cleanliness- Acceptable

 

Requires Action
A number of personal items and/or clutter scattered throughout the living room and surfaces. The majority of furniture and surfaces are generally not clear or accessible. Medium cleaning required for surfaces and/or furniture. Floors in need vacuuming or sweeping, with possible minor stains or spills. Medium amount of trash or discarded items throughout and walk ways are generally not clear.

Policy Violation
A significant number of personal items and/or clutter scattered throughout the living room and surfaces to which they are no longer accessible. Heavy to intense cleaning required for surfaces and/or furniture, with possible professional or deep cleaning required. Floors in need vacuuming, sweeping, with possible major stains or spills that may require professional or deep cleaning. Heavy amount of trash or discarded items throughout the area and walk ways are inaccessible. Possible pest control required.

Enforcement Procedure:
