How do I change the air filter in my home?

Air filters provide the first line of defense against pollen, dust, fine particles, and other particulates from entering the air in your home.

Air filters should be changed at least every 3 months to ensure the HVAC system is working properly and regulating the heating and cooling of the home. To change the air filters, follow the tips below:

1. Locate the air filter grate and unscrew/unhook the latch on the metal cover
2. Wipe the grill clean with a cloth or paper towel
3. Remove the old filter and insert new filter in it's place, ensuring it is facing the right direction according to the packaging
4. Replace the metal cover and secure the latch
