How do I set up Marketing Materials and Inspection on Alcove?
All Alcove homes are vetted and inspected in person to ensure legitimacy and trust in the marketplace.
While homes do not need to be move-in ready at the time of the first inspection, they should be in presentable condition. During this visit, our vendor collects the marketing materials needed for your listing, including photos, virtual tours, room measurements, and floor plan information.
After the inspection is complete, an Inspected by Alcove badge will be added to your listing. This badge helps build trust with potential tenants and can improve listing visibility.
Step-by-step guide
- Open your listing. Once you are logged in, visit your manage listing page and select your property.
- Add Marketing & Tours Access. In Alcove Manager, open Access > Marketing & Tours and use Add Initial Access or Edit Initial Access. This access is used by Alcove vendors for marketing materials and tours before the first tenant lease is finalized.

Access Page on Alcove - Use a self-serve access method. We recommend installing a lockbox (sample lockbox) or another self-serve access method. If you do not provide one, you may need to personally meet the vendor at the property, which can delay marketing materials and tours.
- Schedule the Marketing Materials Service. In Property Onboarding, open the Listing Setup step and select Schedule in Service Portal for Marketing Materials Service.
Property Onboarding -> Schedule Marketing Materials - Submit the request. Fill out the service form. Our vendor will arrive at your property during the designated time range you provided.
- Track the appointment. Once the vendor confirms the appointment, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have any questions or need to communicate with the vendor directly, visit Service Request and chat with them on the ticket.
- Wait for the listing update. Once the inspection is finished, our leasing team will create your floor plan, edit your virtual tour, and add photos of the bedrooms and common areas to your property listing. This process may take up to 3 to 4 business days. Once this is complete, no further action is required.
