I received an invoice for a utility overage. Will I receive a late fee if I can't pay a utility overage invoice when it is charged?

Housemates who use more than the allotted amount in utilities will be charged for the overage amount to their Alcove portal

If a utility overage invoice fails when it is charged, Alcove will not charge a housemate a late fee. Further, a housemate will not be evicted just for unpaid utility overage fees. Any outstanding payments at the end of a tenant's lease will be deducted from a tenant’s Security Deposit. If outstanding charges exceed Security Deposit, Alcove will send the tenant a final bill and email confirmation. If unpaid, the debt will be sent to collections.
