My garbage disposal isn't working. What should I do?
Please follow the steps below to ensure the garbage disposal is in good working order. If these steps don't work, please submit a support ticket in your Alcove portal here.
- Make sure the garbage disposal switch is in the "Off" position
- Check the circuit breaker and see if the disposal switch has been tripped
- Clear the sink and disposal drain of any food scraps
- Locate the disposal motor under the sink and gently press the red reset button. If the button doesn't stay pressed in, wait 10 minutes and try again
- Run cold water and switch the garage disposal to the "On" position to see if the unit will run.
